North Texas Soccer is a non profit organization duly organized to promote the sport of soccer. The organization was established in 1964. On April 29, 1981, the organization was legally incorporated as the North Texas State Soccer Association Inc. In addition, it was exempted from tax under the Texas Nonprofit Corporation Act.
It is the mission of the organization to educate and provide services for the welfare of its players and the game as well. It also boasts its membership of prominent organizations such as the United States Soccer Federation and the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA).
North Texas Soccer is composed of around 131 associations with registered members of adult and youth players. It is also in charge of administering training and development programs for referees as well as developmental courses for its coaches.
Since its establishment, it was able to provide many soccer programs for the youth and adult players. For the past 24 years, its membership has grown with 169,000 youth and adult players, 25,000 coaches, 6,600 referees and more than 1,300 administrators. Because of this growth, it became one of the largest soccer associations in the United States.
The organization believes that every player should be given the opportunity to enjoy the sport while moving ahead to achieve their personal goal in life.
While the organization has a lot of achievements in terms of its programs, it is committed to continue in providing the support necessary in uplifting the status of its members in sports development. It aims to continuously nurture its volunteer staff so as to provide more better services too qualified players of Texas and its neighboring communities.
