Observe the behavior of your puppy especially when he is waking up from a nap, after playing or eating. These are the most important situations where your puppy to relate itself. Ensure to have a location not too far from the door of the bathroom spot. In addition, commend your puppy every time he successfully eliminates outdoors. This is to let your puppy know that eliminating outdoors is the correct behavior. If possible, have your puppy feed in a regular schedule in order to be consistent when he will eliminate.

2. Mermanage your puppy
You should always watch your puppy even when you are inside the house. You can bind him with a leash to keep him in your sight. In addition, observe the behavior of your puppy when it needs to eliminate like sniffing around in circles. Once you see this sign, take him outside immediately and reward him with a treat after he successfully eliminates.

3. Confine your puppy
When you are outside the house or when you are unable to watch your puppy closely, confine him to an area small enough that he will not have to eliminate there. It should have an adequate space for sleeping and playing. If your puppy is confined in a long period of time, make sure that you take it to his bathroom spot before doing anything else.

Warning: Corporal punishments are not advisable to puppies. This will not motivate him to eliminate outdoors when you are around and will not stop him from eliminating indoors when you are not around.
